Treating Mold Poisoning
Recently I with a liposuction London seminar with a friend of mine and when it was over she asked me about mold poisoning treatment. Here is a bit of my advice to her.
Mold is a fungus, and it is also called mildew. Mold tends to develop on almost any kind of surface. The most favorable condition for its growth is an environment that is humid or damp. However, low temperature and more light also provide good conditions for its growth. You can find lethal mold mainly on walls, food items, carpets, clothes, carpets, wood and leather items.
Mold poisoning happens on account of its ingestion and inhalation. Mold is responsible for the toxic growth of volatile organic compounds, which have an impact on the respiratory and nervous system. In case of mold poisoning, an individual develops a lot of symptoms such as, coughing, red eyes, headaches, memory loss, lethargy, poor concentration, bleeding of lungs shortened breath, and asthma.
Treatment of Toxic Mold:
There are various stages in which treatment of mold takes place:
Assessment: First of all, the disease is fully evaluated in an effort to find out how long has a person been exposed. Usually an individual has three types of symptoms, they are hypersensitivity and allergic effects, toxic symptoms including life threatening conditions like shortness of breath and unconsciousness, and infective symptoms like confusion from fever and body pain.
Treatment: Management is performed on the basis of severity of illness. All patients that develop lung injury or shortness of breath should be given hyperbaric oxygen. Hypersensitivity is treated with steroids and anti-histamines. For infections antibiotics are to be given. Patients should be under intensive care, where proper monitoring is effected along with medication and intravenous fluids.
